Bamboo Shampoo Review

Well hello there.

It has been a busy month. Christmas crafts, baking and bucket lists had me spinning. I didn’t have much urge to do any of those things this year but it turned out to be a nice Christmas. Now we have been gifted a New Year! I hope you all enjoyed your holiday fun.

I have been trying a few shampoos lately, if you haven’t noticed. My last two were by Maple Holistics. I wrote about their Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner and their Argan Shampoo & Avacado Oil. They were a huge hit in my house.

I have discovered that Soapbox has came out with a new hair care line. Soapbox Soaps let me choose which scent I’d like to try and I chose their Bamboo set. Since I have already reviewed a tea tree shampoo recently, I thought Bamboo would be something nice and different.

When I was first introduced to Soapbox, I was very impressed with their mission to help others. You can read my first review of their products here. Each product comes with a code you enter on their website, which will contribute to the donation of one bar of soap. Hence the Soap equals hope.

Soapbox Soaps offers a good range of products. I especially love that they offer bundles. They come with a good variety of products at a great price! Click the photo below to see them.

My true thoughts on this shampoo & conditioner

Upon my first use of them, I enjoyed the scent and how well it lathers. I noticed that it does not take but a nickel size amount to wash my hair. The conditioner was okay but it didn’t seem to condition my hair well. In the winter my hair is very dry at the ends.

Once I dried my hair it didn’t look half bad. After a few more uses, I did experience some irritation. Most likely from the fragrance in the shampoo. However, their products are paraben and SLS free. I have a sensitive scalp, so it may not be an issue for others.

  • Great scent
  • Leathers nicely
  • Paraben and SLS free

  • Drying to my hair
  • Irritation to my scalp

Not every product will be to my liking. I do love Soapboxs body wash and bars. Those are my favorite. I love the company and how they give back. They are also very affordable. I’m still interested in trying their other shampoo scents. I think that a coconut or tea tree scent would work better for my skin type.

So what do you think? Want to give it a try? You can get 10% off using my code newhair_whwjessica today!
