Thinking Tree Books: Mom Files

It is Saturday night and I am finally relaxing on the sofa. Football is on the television and many things on my mind. The one highest on my list or cloud of thoughts is homeschool. It literally stays on my mind 24/7. I have to keep my children’s future at the forefront of my mind. I know that it may appear to others that it is not. I try to let learning happen naturally and many people mistake it for not doing enough. That is very far from the truth.

I have recently been sent a very inspiring set of school books for my kids to try, specifically for this post. However, each one is so unique, I decided to break up my review into a few posts. I believe you will understand what I mean soon. The first book I would like to talk about is made just for Mother’s. Honestly, any Mother who could use inspiration on their journey. You do not have to be a homeschool Mom to use this amazing book.

Mom Files

I am highly impressed by this journal. It is exactly what it is. So inspirational, relatable and helpful. What surprises me, even more, is that the founders (Sarah & Josh) of The Thinking Tree, daughter created this book. What a talented and smart young lady. On the back of this journal, she left us a special message. The image is hard to read, so I typed it up for you below.

“Dear Moms & Daughters: As I was reading through my mom’s journals, poems, and blog posts (with her permission of course), I was inspired. I thought a lot about how I wanted to remember so many of the things that my mom had written down. Someday, I hope to be a mom, and I think that all of my mom’s writings will be really helpful! So I put together a collection of her thoughts, ideas, helpful hints, and recipes into a book that could be passed down from mothers to daughters. My mom’s writings inspired my illustrations, drawn from my heart’s reflection of life in our family.” –Anna Brown (Age 17)

Do you see why I am so impressed? If not, I have added some photos of what is inside. That way you can get a better understanding of how wonderful and inspirational this journal truly is. I really enjoyed reading it so far. Not only do I get to read the sweet stories, scriptures, and ideas, but I get to interact by answering questions. It really helps you open your mind and really think about life. Take a look at the photos below.

What do you think? I can only hope that one day my daughters feel the same way about me and realize how much I love them. I Think this journal is proof of her Anna’s love and appreciation for her Mother. It also proves that homeschooling is truly amazing.
