It’s almost that time of year again. We have slowly received Autumn’s kind breeze and soon we will have to endure Winter’s cold bite. I really do enjoy the cold season. I love almost everything about it. In Georgia, it isn’t as cold and the weather is always behaving like a woman with mood swings! One day it’s warm like spring, the next it’s back down to the 50’s.
So around the time that Autumn comes, my skin starts getting really dry. I mostly have trouble with my hands. The combination of the cooler weather, dishwashing and cleaning can cause my hand’s great damage. They start to dry up, wrinkle, ash and crack and bleed. I did have to change my dish soap and that did improve it some. I always use lotion after washing my hands and it never did very much good.
A couple weeks ago Lisa Joy sent me something that really did the trick. It is 100% free of toxins. That is a big deal to me. We have tried to remove as many chemical filled products from our home as we can. If you wouldn’t eat them, you shouldn’t allow them on your skin either! So back to the special item I was given…..
This body cream by Purehaven Essentials is truly the best moisturizer and healer I’ve ever tried. My skin soaked it up nicely and it left behind no grease. After a few more applications my hands started healing up. The cracks were almost gone and the pain was going away. My 5-year-old son wanted to try it. He said he needed some because it smelled so delicious! He had a good sized scratch down his arm from playing. So he applied it there and it is nearly gone after 3 applications. This is amazing right!?
Here is why I believe it works so well…..It contains Aloe Vera, Shea butter, vanilla, and chamomile.
“Aloe vera gel contains two hormones: Auxin and Gibberellins. These two hormones provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. … Additionally, in Ayurvedic medicine, Aloe is used to effectively heal chronic skin problems, such as psoriasis, acne, and eczema.”- (source: Mind Body Green)
“Shea Butter Benefits. Moisturizing: The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for the skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.” (source: Wellness Mama)
“Chamomile posses many powerful skin properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiseptic, and contains essential oils and antioxidants. Additionally, is hypoallergenic and helps to reduce skin irritants by neutralizing free radicals.” (source: Perfect Image)
“The usage of vanilla extract for healing wounds dates back to ancient times. Its anti-inflammatory properties can soothe and calm inflamed areas on the skin. It is considered a great home remedy for wound healing. Note that the direct use of vanilla extract on open wounds and burns should be avoided.” (source: Style Craze)
You just cannot beat amazing ingredients like that! All in this 6 oz bottle Sweet Orange Dream Cream.
