Be Mindful, Be Thankful

Good afternoon!

It is Thankful Thursday. Each Thursday and every day, I try to remind myself by sharing with others. If we focus more on what we are blessed with and less on our trials and hardships, then we can learn to be happier regardless of what is going on in our lives.

For me it is thanking God for the ones I love. My husband and children and the time we get to spend together. The little things I count the most because those add up to be the big things.

“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.” Unknown

I want to focus my gratefulness on each minute! I do not want to let it waste away. For each minute happens and then it’s gone forever. So I am thankful for each one, the good and the bad. Even the hard minutes are important to be thankful for. Those are the ones we learn from. The ones that make us stronger and wiser.

“The only way to live is to accept each minute as a unrepeatable miracle; which is exactly what it is a miracle and unrepeatable.” Storm Jameson

Life as an adult started off hard for me. I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I had to find myself. Who I was without family influences. Not that home life was bad. It was far from it. We all have to form our own opinions, thoughts and morals. I had to make multiple mistakes to figure it out. I do not regret one bit of it. I have grown tremendously since that first minute I decided to leave the nest.

“Live each day as you would climb a mountain…Climb slowly, steadily; Enjoy each passing moment…and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey.” Harold V. Melchert

Lastly, this Thursday I am thankful for life. For if there were none I could not enjoy each of my children in every minute of every day. The giggles, excitement in their eyes, the “I love you’s”…life is a blessing and I am going to soak it up…minute by minute.

“Life is like a flower…it grows more beautiful the more you care for it.” K.C. Rogers

What are you thankful for today?

Yes, I so needed to read this today! My hubby and our daughter are my world, sometimes we forget when we get to comfortable. I am extremely blessed. Thank you for the reminder. And you are to my love!
